McDonogh #32 students had a great experience at the Kenner Science Museum. Seventy 4th & 5th grade students had the opportunity to uncover fossils, work inside NASA on a mission to Mars, and learn about the impact early inventors had on current aviation.

The hands-on experience students received on the field trip expanded the knowledge students were already receiving in their classrooms. Fourth grade student, Destinee Manuel said, “I learned that astronauts have to be strapped down in space in order to sit down and eat, or even go to the bathroom.” McDonogh #32 is creating student passion with real-world experiences and developing future scientists in New Orleans.
